I can agree with that.
But it does feel a bit better to get killed by a Cube that looks good rather than one thats just pure systems or one with one layer of flat hull.
Indeed there are some ships that looks like rectangles but that is either because the design is like that, the builder is not...
ohhh sorry, read wrong :P
The files are also a lot smaller since they have been processed automatic when you save them.
So the 50 GB video from fraps only uses around 5-10 GB (Might be completely wrong but you get the point)
a lot of time and thought might have went into making the systems but what about the hull.
Most people uses a ton of time to make their ships look pretty and to work with the systems with that minimal space just to get blown up by a brick of systems that usually looks worse than a dirt house from MC
you also gave me a tour :P
and thanks for that, it was really nice to see it ingame instead of only seeing pictures. Especially since I was able to see all the small details that one cannot see on pictures.
It was in general an amazing experience (being a builder) to walk around in such a big...
Found a bit of time today.
So I built a bit and continued some stuff I have been working on (challenges for example)
So to continue my City-Gate project and the april challenges I thought to myself, why not start on the police force for the City-Gate.
and here's a little something I made...
I couldn't agree more. Though be careful with only looking at one place, one might add too much detail to that area.
Too much detail can be very very bad looking
An easy way to copy/paste is simply to use some blocks (I use yellow/black hazzard) to indicate the size of the object that needs to be copied then I simply figure out where I want it to be and "calculate" where I need to put a block to aim at when I paste.
You might need to copy/paste smaller...
you could simply start by building it on one entity with the advanced build menu mirror thingies(symmetry)
then copy paste your work onto separate entities
