It is most certainly not "apples to oranges." They're both ships and they're going to be directly competing.
Feeding it I'm fine with, but not being able to mix with existing systems? No.
Actually, I think it would make more sense to combine these two into a single weapon. They're basically...
Scrap only? Fuck no.
Small mass objects shouldn't be saved. They should just disappear and not leave debris. This would be server configurable, but I think a good minimum would be around 5k mass.
I'm a big fan of balance, and every time you add a new system, it gets harder to balance the rest of the game. This game is already a massive pain in the ass to balance.
What does a bio reactor add to the game that cannot be accomplished with a regular fuel reactor addition? They both consume...
What upsides and downsides would regenerating hull have to shields and regular armor?
I don't really see a need for this. I would like a fuel power system, but as a replacement for docked reactors. I don't think it should be biomechanical. If you want to RP your ship like that, go ahead...
I was referring to shipboard weapons in corridors to wipe away boarders. This includes turrets. It is too easy to make something that can instantly vaporize an astronaut. All usage of shipboard weaponry against boarders has to go.
Boarding can't function until the use of shipboard weapons to annihilate astronauts is fixed. They should focus on fixing that first before implementing any new weapons for astronauts.
Chain drives are pretty much the only way I can enjoy the game in its current state. Unless you dedicate a ridiculous portion of your ship to JDs, getting anywhere takes an incredibly long and boring amount of time. No one enjoys holding the left and right mouse button for 20+ minutes.
It would be incredibly easy to make a "balloon" of warheads behind your ship with a few layers of basic hull around it. It wouldn't detonate on collisions, but any damage that destroyed it would take the hull with it.
As many others have stated, it would be incredibly easy to gain a massive boost for really no negative effects, even in the event it gets hit and blows up. I'm going to say no.
