As long as we're defended enough to make it not worth the effort of attacking us, if we're ignoring them, attacking to start a conflict won't work and they'll stop.

Then we should give them what they want? I think we should just ignore them until it becomes a problem, except for occasional counter attacks to get even. Their size is irrelevant. The loss of 50 mass is virtually negligible. That's reasonable. I am appeased.

Joining such an alliance suggests that you'll follow the rules of that alliance. Well then I apologize for the misunderstanding, again, all I had to go on was FD's post. Still though, 50 mass isn't a lot and shouldn't constitute a war.
