ha I have a amd hd 7770 and had the same trouble. Found out that MS was not allowing my amd driver to be updated. Turned off MS updated. Deleted drivers and then re-installed following AMD guidelines. I now have FPS rates between 170 & 250 even real close to a planet. Have no problems around...

And how would you suggest i approach this ? I have heard nothing but complaints from players about this being messed up. This makes the game no longer fun! How sad

Well excuse me! Guess you dont like opinions that differ from yours. Having every ship, turret & defense platform rendered useless is not my idea of a step forward. Fine you want beam weapons then why not beam cpu and beam arrays? Been playing this game for almost a year and this is THE WORST...
