With each post you post, I am just lossing faith that this server will even be a viable option, it saddens me how down-scaled this is and in turn the less shown issues with pve and pvp will begin to show, the smaller the ship as well as equipped weapons. If I were you, I'd do something similar...

Your thinking the wrong way about this, maybe have a specific block that HAS the property to allow astronaut weapons to be allowed to target it directly. Say for instance there is some type of important block... i dunno (switching to planetside 2 for example): in PS2, you can disable shield...
