Honestly, if you are getting mad about constantly refitting your ships, when the game is still in development, you should probably take a break until the game is officially completed. Its one thing to have a valid criticism, its another to cry because your old design is now obsolete.
Didnt Schema already confirm AI fleets? If so, that alone will add a significant strategy element to the game. With the faction overhaul that Schema is doing, this could be a very different game when all is said and done.
It would be cool if you could link warp gates between different "galaxies", sort of how minecraft servers have portals that send people to mining worlds, so theres no worry of resources being exhausted from the main world.
