Missiles have twice the DPS per block compared to cannons and beams to account for the loss (20 per block vs 10). Don't know about pulse but no one really cares anyway.

Unlikely honestly. The most popular servers at the moment are LvD, Freaks, and TSA although there's some whacky stuff happening there. All these servers are lucky to hit double digits most of the time.
The AI can't do jack when there isn't a player around. They also can't really patrol at all, you can make them move from one sector to another but once again that requires a player to be present.
