OK. I had a graphics error yesterday that I was able to fix by deleting the starmade.jar file and reinstalling it via the launcher. So far so good. Graphics fixed and game seems to be running fine.

I go to the catalogue to spawn in a ship I was working on and there is nothing but the default Isanths?

Log out to the main menu and use the Catalogue Manager....Windows can see the blueprints in the blueprint folder but neither StarMade or the Catalogue Manager can?

Might wanna try a full reinstall into another directory, and then copy the blueprints folder into that new install.

I cannot find the blueprint of the ship I was working on! I exported it and copied it over with the rest of my backups. It isn't even in the backup zip when I updated the other day. Most strange!

I will try in a little while in case someone else has any other suggestions.

The blueprint format the catalog manager can import are .sment files.
They are usually in the "exported" folder, unless you specify a different location on export.

So from the view in your file-browser the blueprints should be in the exported subdirectory.

The blueprints are physically there! The game and the manager just don't see them. Even .sments in the exported folder dont show up despite there being several in there.

The import dialog from your screenshot can read .sment and .zip files.

You may need to scroll to the end of the filelist to see them.

It also helps if you set the filetype to .sment files.

However, I assume you talk about the "folders" being in the /blueprints/ directory but not listed in the catalog manager?
This is because it acts on the last played worlds catalog.

When creating a new world, the game asks you if it shall copy the catalog from an existing world, from there a snapshot of the current state will be created.
So if you have 3 worlds, and add some blueprints in world1, some others in world2 and then play world3 for a while, the catalog manager will only see the blueprints in world3.
To get a catalog with ALL blueprints, create a new world, and click 'cancel' on the dialog asking to a source world to import the catalog from.
As a side effect, all blueprints will have the owner "unknown" and will only be available by the admin tab.
But after playing this world once and exiting, you should have all blueprints in your catalog manager.

If not, please examine if the blueprint directories were malformed in some way.
Especially a renamed .sment file causes a lot of issues, because they have an internal snapshot of the directory structure and renaming it, will have the import create the wrong base directory, leading to failed imports, or duplicate imports, that create empty folders.

Also, verify your starmade install location didn't change when you reinstalled/repaired the game.

Thanks, that appears to be the issue. When I updated the StarMade.jar file as per your suggestion yesterday it obviously wiped the world data. I just couldn't, and in fact still don't, understand why nothing was showing up. The catalogue manager is separate to any world and the main blueprint folder is too.

It was a good call on checking the path too but this was fine.

I backed up all my visible blueprints and then deleted EVERYTHING from the game folder and launcher then reinstalled it from scratch. It is all now working as it should now so all is well. I did have to roll back to the previous stable version as the server I normally play had yet to update and I wanted a blueprint of my station "just in case", especially after reading about people having missing stations. While sometimes it can be frustrating when a server is a bit slow to update, in this case it has been a blessing in disguise.
