Everytime I attempt to dock a simple entity (core and rail docker) to a single line (let's say about 5 for example) of pickup rails or basic rails, the entity does not move. The reason it does not move is that it's rail docker will automatically change orientation to the opposite of the rail it docks to.

    (a) Yes, the rail docker is facing the right direction prior to docking.
    (b) The entity will dock to the rail just fine, via pickup point or beam, yet won't move because of the rail docker flipping its orientation.
    (c) I am not near a sector border, have changed sectors multiple times, am playing on single player, and have restarted the game and cleared cache multiple times.
    (d) It is not a faction issue. The problem persists with both factioned, either factioned, or neither factioned. The docked entities rail docker flips itself to the reverse of the rail it is on the moment it docks.
    (e) There is no logic connected to any of the rails.
    (f) The problem persists whether I use the create docking option or create an entity independently and manually dock it.

Last test I performed: Drop to desktop, restart Starmade, clear client cache, load into single player, change sector, create new entity consisting of (1) core and (5) pickup rails. Use create docking on the first rail. The result is the same. The rail docker immediately flips orientation to the opposite of the rail it sits on stopping the entity from moving. Sigh.

I really cant figure this out!! Can anyone assist?

iirc the textures for pickup rails were accidentally reversed last update. Try reversing the pickup rails.

I'll give that a shot in a moment and comment back!

Yup, that was it!! You'd think a problem of this caliber would have have been heralded a bit more on the forums, lol, but I found no mention of it when searching prior to posting.

FFS. and thank you, was trying to demo rails for my turret transport/docker and watsed so much time getting this to work. WTF is this not a hot issue to get fixed like yesterday

Amen to that, heh...I've got two different builds sitting now because of this. Thank god the docked entities that I created for them, which sport a rather complicated set of logic to boot, were finished before I updated.

Could we just revert back to the last edition do you think?
