    I would like to see a rail block that would cause the entity docked and moving on the rail to stop. When not activated, the direction arrows would be green and allow the entity to continue on its path. When activated, the arrows would turn red and cause the moving entity to stop on that block. When unactivated, it would continue on the path. This would be very helpful for elevators and the like.

    Rail speed controller.
    individual rail blocks to be selected with SHIFT-V
    Normally we have the opposite of this problem. Just plain V

    Actually, it's even easier. Just point your rail perpendicular to the flow. like

    No need to waste a block ID when the speed controller has all your needs.

    Just put a wifi block on the platform that is moving and link it to the speed controller on the main body. Also the same trick can be done with area triggers but not sure how.

    Uh, why are you guys using rail speed controllers as a rail stopping point? You can just turn the rail to the side and it'll stop until switched back to the front - and as an added bonus, if you have a strange setup, like one using multiple entities on one rail and a massive number of activators linked to a controller to fine-tune the speed of the entities, then it still works and nothing else gets messed up.

    Not using them as a stopping point just turning off the activation blocks cannoned to the speed controller to stop. As for turning the rail to stop haven't figure out the structure to that one yet.

    If you wanted speed easing then using a speed controller for stopping is ideal
