      I guess its a bug in the current version. Some of my drones stop working too when they finished a asteroid. Then I have to repeat the fleet order a few times until all drones work again.... and no the storage is not full.

      Of course I have used pickup rails for the logic part. But after a while some buttons didn't do what they were supposed to do and others didn't do anything anymore. And reconnecting them didn't help so I had to delete them all to fix it. Some buttons even kept their connection after I deleted...

      I like this Idea. I would like to "leave" my cruiser/carrier to control a turret or a fighter by myself. But that's really risky, because a fighter gets easily destroyed. And missiles can kill you inside your ship while you are on the way to a turret. And once you are dead you respawn light...
