i think this is an absolutely FANTASTIC idea and should be incorporated at once. not only would this make the current system valid, it would give a very good use for small ships. PLEASE implement this for the love of god, this man is a wizard, don\'t make me beg.

I personally feel that as it is now, the disintegrator is next to useless. Considering that it does a fixed amount of damage and cannot stack, it limits its use considerably, not to mention that shields can nullify all disintegrator damage completely. I have a few ideas for how this can be...
