Yes, there's a faction/public toggle. But putting 1 and 2 above together, what I mean is: Once I set it to public, I don't think there's a way to say "public but only if the entities are docked". Or even in the same entity for that matter.

Yeah, they do look related (or to be the same). I wondered if it had to do with the shipyard as that's the only ship I have that was built using the shipyard, and that's the one I have trouble with.

Yes it would. It's just that one of the turret's base would be docked to the barrel of the other. Although I could adapt it and dock it to the base of the other instead, if it makes a difference.
But yeah, each would have their own base.
