I used to separate my salvage beams with power reactors. Maybe glass or another cheap and light material would work under the new update. Or fill the spaces between lines with cannons for easy cannon+salvage ratios.
This is so much more fair and intuitive than shields that protect your ship until they run out of juice, and generators that don't take damage unless they get hit!
I've been heavily critical of this update in several threads, but I'm really starting to see the error of my ways. The game needed this.
I think you've nailed it. At some point, probably right near the start of the whole power thing, the goal of the update changed from "Let's make a simple to use, powerful energy system to remove the ambiguity of the old one" to "how can we change power to control how people build their ships?"...
You have missed the mark completely and attempted to boil the game down into two strawmen and made them fight. The new system coming in does nothing but constrain creativity in order to make a ship that functions, let alone strong. I'm not a PVPer, I just want to make ships that farm pirates...
It needs to allow you to give a reason why you disagree. It's not constructive in its current state. Why do you disagree? Do you not like my name? Do you like the premise but disagree with the conclusion? Right now there's no way to tell.
The other ratings don't have the issue of being...
Like most people, my first experience with a pirate station was an 800k sector-wide homing missile from an Alpha. I still avoid pirate stations entirely to this day unless I'm in something with 20mil shields and a whole lot of missiles. Thanks for encouraging gigantism.
Of course, in...
From what I've seen in the past, the only thing the devs like more than reinventing the wheel is throwing good money after bad. You can guarantee this is going into the game.
There's no forgetting and there's no convenient. The game's development has practically stalled - there's only been a couple actual updates in the last two years and only really shipyards were something that made people interested enough to try the game again. NPC factions are pointless and...
Here in Australia the PG rating (second lowest rating - Frozen is PG for example) allows the use of swear words up to "shit", with the occasional "fuck" if justified by context (for example in Spaceballs). Don't stress about profanity - kids will have heard worse on the playground. What should...
Not likely to happen considering they still haven't added the new spawn station that was shown off in 2015
StarMade live Q&A session. Come check out the new spawn station!
