I\'m another one that likes the nerf. But so many people complaining indicates that it might not have needed to be so severe. But I feel it\'s still a change for the better overall.
People complaining about lone fighters, taking out your bug honking behemoths. A smaller ship may be able to...
I like that you can accidentally hit your own turrets when badly placed, but you can have your fixed mount AMCs fire backwards to hit yer turrets if you have yer crosshair over them which is a little...odd..
It seems the AMCs don\'t care if what they are shooting at is actually in front of...
I remember somebody on a server I was on had a ship with so many AM cannons that they couldn\'t fire. Turns out the cannons were needing more than 20k power per shot and his ship didn\'t have any power tanks.
I don\'t remember exactly how many cannons were in use on his ship, but could that...
I do have an addition I would like to add though. Directed radar.
I propose an additional radar block, that only works in one direction relative to the ship, depending on which direction the block is placed when built. The directed radar is not effected as much by being mounted on a large...
I love the boost idea but not so much the arbitrary ship size cap for fancy manuvers. Why not a simple diminishing returns system, where after X number of boosters the increase is reduced. That way if somebody is inclined too they could make a big ship made out of mostly boosters still and do...
I\'m pretty sure the sector indicator you get is indeed the center of the next sector, so it goes away once you enter the sector.
As for planets I have to speculate, uit I think starsystems rotate and move around in some fashion, completely independent of void sectors and other star systems...
Kinda like that idea, would be nice for folks who make stations near 2,2,2.
\"Welcome to Greiger_Manufacturing_Blue_Base. Please do not test your peashooter on this station, our AM turrets are easily agitated. Have a nice day.\"
I\'m not certain where this idea is mentioned in that thread outside of my own posts, which Planr did not reply to. The only response I got for this suggestion (which I did indeed post in that thread) is that I should make a suggestion thread for it. Which is why it is here.
In fact as far as...
I also liked the idea of the shipyard. I figure combining the two would be a simple matter of checking the shipyard\'s inventory. And if the operator so chooses the shipyard could also pull missing materiels from nearby shops, exactly as the shops would.
In another area of the forums people have been debating the catalog system. About how it spawns materiels out of thin air at the cost of some credits, killing manufacturing and any chance of materiel scarcity.
I may have a solution.
When the military wants to build something they don't go to...
I love the idea of the shipyard but I still don\'t like the idea of gathering up all the mats myself. The world\'s militaries don\'t just go to all the local hardware stores and buy the stuff they need off the shelves, they tell them that \"Hey I\'m building this and I\'m giving you the...
If your faction mate is using heat seekers they have no way of telling friend from foe. They will go for the nearest ship, which seems to be you.
I suggest your friend switch to the unguided rockets or the radar locking missiles.
Yes of course, but what many people seem to not like is the ability to spawn massive amounts of materiels out of thin air, regardless of if there is a single block of that materiel within 100 sectors.
Even a simple economy system can\'t be put into place until something is done about that...
I love the idea, but I hate the idea of the needing the materiels on hand. Sure throw in what you got, to save some cash, and resources will be taken from the shop. But what is so fun about flying from shop to shop buying Power tanks?
I figure if you don\'t have the materiel, and the shop...
I love the idea of alternative means of combat, especially ones that would force a player out of their core for a few seconds mid fight or give more benifit to extra crew.. (As long as walking in a moving ship starts working a bit more consistantly).
This does seem to have one little hitch for...
