      What you suggest now may sound convenient, but it trivialize ship access. Shops abilities need to be reduced, or even removed. Why woudl you need to have spare parts or repair beams if you can just go at a shop sell/rebuy or repair? Changing ships should be at a cost in components and/or time...

      Just lengthening reload proportionally to power would increase the skill ceiling of flying larger ships, which is desirable. Small ships can then have fast shooting weaposn and have an easier time maintaining constant damage, even if it is low DPS. Also, I\'m sort of campaigning for that idea...
