Just as required :D I'll post more screenshots when the entire instrument is finished. You are back?! :) They do indeed remind of windlasses with chains around them... But they're actually tuning posts with guitar strings. It should look something like this:

(I'll probably replace those jagged pipes with straight ones built on six turret-like entities, so that they can connect their angled paths smoothly.) Guess the build! :D
