I'd suggest that stars be treated like planet cores, but colored in a brighter palette, say white & yellow, white & blue, and white & red. add the atmosphere as the stars corona where ship damage begins. if you hit the star itself, your ship is destroyed.

As a board game crafter / hobbyist, I'm looking forward to see how this develops. I know from experience how things can change from initial concept to working model. Keep at it Bench, I think this could be fun.

I like the idea of an asteroid base but I'd also like to see some areas of dense asteroids as well, perhaps even some planetary rings for some cat and mouse, good for small maneuverable ships dodging the capital ships

SHHWT SHHWT how about a setting on plex doors so they can open and close automatically like in star trek, just for internal doors I think, airlock and hangar doors would need to be activated.

I'd like an undo function. No idea how many times I've set a row or sheet of the wrong block. I've used the function in the advanced build, but it's kind of a pain. Just a simple undo would be nice.

I think it's important to remember the role of the villain in whatever setting it happens to be. Wrasslin has heels, Firefly had reavers, Jedi had Sith, without the role of the "bad guy", the hero has only themselves to overcome, the villain pushes them farther, making victory that much better...

What if to make plasma distinct, it has a burn rate? "PLASMA FIRE ON DECK 3!!!" Something that isn't too fast, but needs to be dealt with.

Perhaps something like a stock exchange that updates hourly, or whenever the server auto updates?
