gravity only works if connected to the activation block which the player activates. this means that you can't make any kind of circuit in combination with a gravity block, which makes it impossible to make something more advanced with gravity.

I have not tried the new dev build so I wouldn't know. however, the ai will not turn towards your target if there is salvagers on the turret (or I think that was the case when I tried to test it, which you should try and test aswell)

I don't like secrets. and diffidently not super-secrets.

I like the idea and would like to see it atleast tested. it would however not completely fix the "core-drilling" problem, since you still only need to destroy that one block and as such will try to focus fire on that spot. But I do think that it will give the game a more "immersive" feel to it...

this won't get rid of "coredrilling", and it also won't really make ship design more complex / advanced, as it's simply just making smaller groups as you said, which isn't exactly rocket science.

I don't think that'll look good, It's not really the same art style, but you are ofcourse free to edit the skin your self, the png files are included in the download incase you want to edit the skin or just use parts of it like the helmet or what not. I do think I will be making a new face, but...

The game does unfortunately not support any higher resolution for player skins. If you try to make it in a higher resolution the skin will literally be absorbed by space. If I could I would have loved to make them in a high resolution. The griddyness to the skins does however fit with the...
