How do i make waypoints?

Sorry if i'm new, i just returned to the game after i've played it as of the old days. So, is there a kind of block that acts a waypoint? Is there a specific task that must be done? Is there some other way to do it? If you know, please tell me in the comments bellow.

Waypoints are made in the [N]avigation menu. By pressing the key, you can set the coordinates of a sector to be your destination waypoint, and a marker will appear in space showing you in which direction to fly to get there. If you have jump drive equipped, it will always try to jump you towards the waypoint regardless of facing; jumping without a waypoint instead shoots you 8 sectors forward.

You can also save the coords of the sector you're currently in as a waypoint bookmark, allowing you to set it as destination at any time with a click of the plot button. You'll see a list of such bookmarks in the screen that pops up over the nav menu when you go to set a waypoint.

Thank you, that's some good help you have there. But i am not very expirenced with the coordinate setting in this game. Would be better if you could just make one where you are.

I probably should have explained the save option a little better. My bad, there.

When you go to save the coords of the current sector as a bookmark, you don't actually have to worry about the xyz. The option to Save Current Coordinates asks you for a name to give to the bookmark; the game automatically handles the coordinate part.

Actually, i tried saving them, and nothing happened? Do i have to do something with this?
