    i just had a internet failure and thought like whatever just play some SP starmade... untill i noticed that i could not log into the game because the damn SP would not let me. Assumingly it has to do with the missing registry connection. well i made sure that

    USE_STARMADE_AUTHENTICATION = false //allow star-made.org authentication
    REQUIRE_STARMADE_AUTHENTICATION = false

    was set but still i could not log into the game, new world, local server, untill internet was back up.
    Please could you guys fix this?

    What was the exact error message?
    Did you save your uplink info? If so, the game would try to uplink you regardless of weither or not the server requires it to. Delete your uplink information locally and you should be able to play SP or local MP.

    From what I've gathered, Starmade uses a similar system to Minecraft in which the game is permanently connected to the internet, even in SP. It makes running LAN servers or letting people join your SP easier, but has the drawback of not working at all without internet. I personally do not like the system on either game and definitely want to see Starmade have a true Singleplayer mode.
