blocks losing their connection should cause their destruction

    From what I can tell if a block on your ship loses it's connection to the rest of the ship it just floats in thin air. Besides looking really really stupid it also doesn't make any sense gameplay or balance wise. If I am able to cut somebody's ship into two then this should cripple that ship. It doesn't make sense that the bit that has been cut away just stays at full power.

    I suggest that the game takes a page from Robocraft and makes it so that if a block loses it's connection to the rest of the ship it blows up automatically.

    There is an option for this in the config, it's buggy and potentially laggy. It may get more development in the future.

    Exploding on disconnect? No thank you. There is a break-off feature that already exists, though. If a bit is disconnected by weapons fire it becomes a new entity.

    What about ships that have separate parts by design, Rayman style? I actually had some ideas for a ship like this in mind. How do we handle that situation?

    Attach them with glass, water, open plex doors or trigger areas.
