Bug or admin?

Keep logging into the game the last few days to find this.
I'm one of the most active players on the server and for the last few weeks things have been fine with my points increasing. Now every day I log in and find more systems lost.
One may say lack of faction points, but all the others just say "revoked by ADMIN"
Started just after the GUI update. Some system lost I had only claimed the night before.
Today I lost my home system...... Just lucky I am far from spawn or I may of found my ships, base and huge amount of resources gone. The 8, 0, 1 system at the top. That says faction points and admin.

If it a bug? Is it a new mechanic to the game? Or is an Admin revoking my systems? Noticed some friends factions, both with numerous players and solo like myself who probably play less than I do still seem to have all their systems going by the map.
Kind of worried I am about to lose weeks of work and my flagship I am currently building that requires millions and millions of resources and is almost complete.

The server admins have stated it is not their doing. Some other players have started having the same problem. After several weeks of play it only started about the time of the GUI update. Not sure if it is a change to faction mechanics or what. I did have more faction members but they were inactive so I deleted them to see if that were the cause. Inactive members = losing points?

Big problem with this game is a massive lack of up to date and relevant documentation. Most wikis and youtube videos covering the games mechanics are seriously out of date. If an official detailed manual exists I have not been able to locate it.

Yeah a manual/FAQ/mess (take your pick) that returns such wonderful and helpful advice such as:

Game is still in development, and the Wiki is handled by community members. If you think it is not up to par, feel free to try to amend it. Try looking at power generation, something actually needs an explanation though, instead of thrusters, which are pretty much linear and you can easily learn by yourself, if it wasn't taught in the tutorial.

Game is free as well for the time being, but bonus points for trying to degrade something needlessly, and I flipped through it, finding no videos links, so you're gonna have to give examples for that claim.
