    i would like to see a weapon in the form of a harpoon! where you shoot and back thrust and it rips the hull of an enemy station/ship . also mining drones would to amazing to

    So a single-block tractor beam that would damage the target block if enough force is applied. This sounds doable as a new effect type. ("Harpoon Effect") I'm not sure how weapon block count would stack. Ideas for the difference between a 2-block harpoon weapon and a 6000-block harpoon weapon? Ideas for shield interaction? Time-based and Skill-based features? Maybe it should be a personal astronaut weapon only?

    Probably the difference between ramming a wall with a car and ramming a wall with a fully loaded freight train.
    Well, yes, but what's the difference to the game? A destroyed block is a destroyed block is a destroyed block. The car just takes longer than the freight train. My concern is that after the weapon system reaches a certain block count (400/5 = 80 blocks maybe?), there is no further benefit to building an even bigger harpoon weapon. Or maybe that's the point: maybe a harpoon weapon is supposed to be limited to small weapon systems on purpose. An interesting con for a weapon.

    Edit: That's why I thought it might possibly be an astronaut-only weapon.

    What if the harpoon effect could only work against so much thrust. Therefore to harpoon a large ship that is trying to get away, you would need a larger harpoon effect.

    and also wouldn't it be amazing if there was a way to setup a automated shipyard where you or you mining drones feed in the mats and blueprint as-long as the mats are there it'll continue. make sense right?
    [DOUBLEPOST=1421435628,1421435070][/DOUBLEPOST]and i have no idea as to how the harpoon would work just that it would have a 4x4 gap if it penetrates and it disables thrusters i just was thinking if there where such a thing it would be easy getting on-board the other vessal without destroying it completely

    And how about this colony building for your faction enabling your home base to exspand while you exsplore use bots or some form of a spawnable or buildable npc that is part of your factioon acting as players it would be enjoyable if your not to into multiplayer that much like I am
