Eh, war with internet spaceships isn't really, and can be boring right now with the current game mechanics supporting material hording rather than arriving to battle with gaiety. Allowing trade, even with the enemy, could make it easier for both sides to openly use resources. There is an issue with the current situation between us though, the resources factions have gained on servers before the blueprint update are grossly imbalanced.
The Thryn was able to spawn in a few ships prior to the update, along with a signifigant amount of resources. The total mass count of our ships prior to the update was lower than 450k mass.* Additional resources were in storage, but I don't know the numbers on those, and I don't know this about other factions so I'm not going to sweat on this too much.
I know AA alone had over 900k mass* spawned in and on server, and that the odium pact (of which now acts as one unit) had even more.*
I know that unfortunately factions like Aethi started the new update with no materials obtained from previous endeavours.*
*These numbers do not indicate anything about factions morals, ethics or philosophy. The intent of this is to show a numerical value reason for why using resources would be a gross waste.
I'm going to suggest in the UEF charter, of which Odium could join, that trading is to be be handled anonymously and via a third party, as to allow resources to exchange hands easily and to decrease the chances of factions denying resources to enemies.
