Im playing singleplayer, Testing systems for my cruiser.

And then i was wondering where the missle tracking systems went off to ?
Or the heat seeker missile ?

Are you at all familiar with how the weapon system works in the game?

Seems to me you're thinking back to when we had 3 kinds of missiles and 1 amc. The current version uses a master/slave system and has 5 variants of missiles, cannons, beams and pulse (so 20 basic combinations).

You can slave a system by pressing C on what will be the master system, and then V on the slave. So for Lock-on tracking missile you'd want a Missile CPU as the master, and Damage Beam CPU as the slave. Heat seekers are Missiles slaved to another missile system (Swarm missiles they are called, lots of fun). You need weapon blocks attached to each CPU for any change to show.

Changing the ratio of the blocks will also alter various stats of the weapons (tweaking range or reload).

Okay so its not something you do in the "T" menu ?
you must do it by pressing the "C" and "V" on each system/weapon ?

You need to make two separate weapon systems, then open the weapons menu, and drag one of the weapon icons into the slot behind it.
