Constant Acceleration Issue (Bug?)

Just bought the game a couple days ago and am really beginning to enjoy it.

However, last night, I was exploring and decided to find a warp gate. I assume it was a warp gate/black hole/wormhole (shiny and colorful?). Around 10km out, my ship began to accelerate on its own. I didn't have to hold down "w". I assumed it was due to the fact that I was experiencing a massive gravitational pull. If that is the case, that's awesome to include.

I end up traveling through. Ever since that, my ship now will randomly start accelerating as if I'm on auto-pilot. I can barely break. I have to close the app and re-open Starmade to kill the
    acceleration.

Here are some things that might be relevant.
    • This was on a server, have not tried single player yet.
    • I do have an Xbox 360 controller plugged in and keybinded. (Haven't thought about unplugging when I find this bug)
    • This seems to happen when I travel between sectors. I will try and repeat this.

TL;DR: Traveled through warp/worm hole/blackhole. As I approached, experienced max acceleration and assumed gravity. Passed through and now have max acceleration as if I'm in auto-pilot. Even when I come to complete stop, my ship auto-accelerates.

Are you still in a system containing a wormhole? or are you out of one? if it's the former it's still the gravitational pull.

It's a feature. Use the stop effect modules defensively to get a maximum of 75% reduction in gravitational pull.

Yeah, the worm holes gravity pulls you well past the max speed, I was on the elwyn eternity server where the speed limit is 300kmph and I went at 1200kmph :)

None in the system. Just logged back in and the spacestation and my ship are gone. I'm willing to bet that it was a server-side issue. Anyways, thanks for the info!

Having this issue myself. No wormhole in the system, but it acts like it. Was kicked out of my ship and now can't close enough to it to get it back.

Were you at the very edge of the system, like the last sector, or second to last sector? Sometimes the wormhole is moved up a little in your direction.

To check if that is the case, go to the sector where it happened with a very small ship, and press P to go to the map. If the orbital rings of the system that you're actually still in don't display, it means that the wormhole actually also covers part of that system.
