Crafting all blocks for a ship can be a lot of additional work if many different block types are used, even if they don't need a lot of resources. This would make thing way easier:

If you put a blueprint into a shipyard you can click a recipe button, which generates a recipe item. Using this item will display a list of blocks needed for the blueprint. Handing in the recipe at a shop will automatically buy all blocks on the list, given the shop has these blocks in stock and credits are sufficient.

If the shipyard already has some blocks the recipe will only list the blocks that are still missing. This way players can mass produce hull and systems, but don't have to care about 100 different decorative blocks of which they only need a few each.

I think having a "buy materials" button on the blueprint itself (with a credit display) would be nice.

But this way you'll have problems buying only what you haven't crafted yourself already.

Always amused seeing how some people feel difficulty in performing even the most mundane tasks...

If it is done like most things, when you click the button, it will have you type how many you want to buy, or calculate how many you need automatically.

There's no problem for me, but for those people who are complaining about being unable to buy ships with blocks.

Because they can't remember a thing they've seen a minute ago? Or because it's hard to to press "buy amount" and enter the amount?

Because bigger ships with lots of decorative stuff require many different blocks, which is quite hard to remember.

Quite hard? It's right there, in the list, with the numbers. Man, are you serious??? Oh for Pete's sake, another one of them whiners! You open your blue print, and you filled up the "easy part" of hull and systems. And you see that you need these lights, these motherboards and these crystals. Then you close the blueprint and SUDDENLY YOU FORGOT! OMG, wadda gonna do, wadda gonna do!?

    - Man, I... I can't make it. It's too hard! These colored icons.... these numbers... they are killing me! Space Jesus man, help me! Remember this thing for me! No, no, don't write this crap into Notepad, that's heresy! Schema wrote that system so we'd all suffer so we must! We must so much!

Then we go to the forums and whine about how we're incapable of remembering colors and numbers! And there's too many buttons. Everything needs to be automatic. No challenge. No effort. Free stuff. We will tell it's too complex, grindy and boring at the same time. Because it always works, doesn't it?

Calm down noob, the current system is TEMPORARY. In the future we will have to put the blocks into a shipyard. If the current system remained it could be abused to circumvent any inventory limitations.

First I'm completely calm. If you read emotions in text, then you're seems new on the internets, noob.

And your arrogant reply doesn't even adress my argument. What the point for all that vanity, which adresses the most mundane tasks? Shipyards would likely be capable to take items from factories directly, so what the point of recipes?

    Quality of life sir/maam.

Having to flip between two different screens or write down values on a tablet is both tedious and annoying. Adding a button that calculates values is a reasonable suggestion.

If you find something like that to be tedious and annoying, then I weep for the future generations.

Make an option to charge FP for larger BPs. That is all.
