Better look for Warp Gates

It would be really much cooler if Warp Gates would have something like a gateway feel to them. So that they would look like a portal, with maybe something like blue ripples to it.
So it would look something like the Star Gate entrance in Star Gate.

Or that... But something that is moving a little, with even the slightest ripple, will make it look less like just an odd wallpaper in space that you pass through.

That would take a ton of work and would probably impact performance heavily. At the very best it could possible display the color of the other nebula
