It would be really useful if when backing up your files (this occurs when you update - if you choose to back anything up) if you could choose for it to use a different compression algorithm such as 7z or RAR. This would be useful when having a computer that does not deal with ZIPs, or when needing to send it to someone or back it up and needing a different or possibly better compression algorithm, as for instance, 7z normally compresses files to a better degree than the ZIP algorithm does.

Also, it would be nice if in a addition to this, you could set a password for your compressed backups (you could either always have the same saved password, or you could be able to choose a different one every time if you customized your settings to ask you about these kinds of things).

    7z or RAR.
7zip also uses the ZIP algorithm, it just adds a little more compression.
ZIP is an open format, if there is a computer not able to deal with them, said computer cannot deal with java, and thus not with StarMade.
RAR on the other hand isn't that open. I know many computer not being able to open RAR-files.
