I suggest an addition to the Shift-V functionality.

    Current:

Shift-V: Select All Like Blocks in a group
Shift-V again: Deselect All Like Blocks in a group

    Proposed:

Shift-V the first time: Select All Like Blocks of any color in a group
Shift-V a second time: Deselect All
Shift-V a third time: Select All Like Blocks of the same color in a group
Shift-V a fourth time: Deselect All

I ran into this idea while trying to slave a large array of lights to a logic block in version 0.171 of the game, and had to select all the lights one at a time. As always, the cycle resets whenever blocks are added or removed.

    Ideas? Criticisms?

Good idea. What's available versus what makes sense?
    Examples:
    Shift-C: By Color?
    Shift-S: By Shape?
Shift-B: By Both Color and Shape?
    Shift-A: All in the group?

Also, has anyone found any other blocks besides light blocks for which logic-slaving multi-select fails to work?

Shift+A and Shift+S already are already assigned to movement.
In astronaut mode holding shift will lower your walking speed.
In build mode holding shift will increase your speed.

    Shift-v-c for color selection
    shift-v-s for shape selection
shift-v-a for both shape and color
shift-v-t for selecting any of the same type of block not already a slave.

Maybe it should just be an optiom that you can select in advanced build mode? I think that that would be the easiest solution to be honest. No complicated shorcuts, just good old easy to use advanced build mode options.

Except adv. build mode wouldn't work, because you have to place your mouse over the button in order to activate a feature, but you have to have your mouse over the block in question to get it to work.

Wrong, the adv. build mode is used to select which will be done, the shift+<insert key here>+click then does it

No, I mean a an option in advanced build mode for what you want SHIFT+V to do. You normally wouldn't be switching between modes all the time anyway, so why wouldn't you make it an advanced build mode option?

As opposed to just pointing at whichever block like we do now? Why add more steps then just point at the block and press the keyboard combo?

Did you seriously quote my post as a reply? Wow.
But I don't mind, it is my opinion after all (and apparently yours too).

Just an explanation: if you're busy with lights for example, you won't suddenly change to weapons. Same goes for a lot of other possible scenes.

In my suggestion it is only 4 actions anyway: control, click button for option, choose option, press OK.
