I suspect major factions are those who are known of and are impacting the servers they are located on.

Unfortunately this generally means the louder and more annoying factions become 'major' first since people hear of them more often. Strength generally seems to play a secondary role in regards to what makes a major faction according to the whims of the forums.

Well, there is always little things, Like Factions moving to New servers, New factions, New Bases being set up, new Ships being Brought out (Not Showcase style, nor every new ship), and Small Scale faction wars, and Provide some commentary on said events.

Whats more, you can cover Server related news as well; Whats Happening on illusive? Any Conflicts on Mushroom fleet? GeneralBLT's Server is become Public? Are there any events Planned on Nasszone? This would prove useful in itself cause then we know what servers are active, and might be worthwhile to set up on.

Hell, could even cover updates like Mushroom Fleet does - 3- As much as I appreciate the Devs writing such detailed updates... I often find myself missing stuff or waiting a little while cause of the sheer size (Dat 0.14 update o Ao)

And you dont have to do it daily, do a weekly wrap up including all the notable events of the week, and allow NEWS FLASHES for Major events (like another Large scale war).

DFN DECLARES VICTORY OVER ODIUM

Hello all,

I am proud to announce a victory over the Odium Pact, on the part of us Athanatos factions.

Event Horizon is in shambles, Vaygr is combat ineffective, and dropping members like flies, the Tartaran Empire left the pact after losing a great deal of members due to the decision, and Euro-Corp has failed to harm us at all.

Long live the DFN, Long live Athanatos!
It has been challenged by a former member of the Vaygr a main faction in Odium. However it is the opinion of The SFNN that the claim is legitimate and correct.

This goes against the neutral position a journalist should hold and shows just how unprofessional they are.

As the leader of the TE, we will not allow the DFN to use any kind of media to spread propaganda and lies to further any goals they might have, especially slander towards other factions, ally or enemy. As a former member and high ranking officer of the Debrisian Federal Navy, I can attest and vouch for any claims that FlyingDebris is nothing more than a liar, a fake and an incompetent leader that needs to be replaced for the DFN to survive. It's my own personal belief that this 'SFNN' is nothing more than the DFN propaganda machine at work.

Also I did this completely out of free-will if you think Debris has anything to do with this you are wrong. I did not talk to him about this and I never actually ended up getting on a server for DFN once!

I really wanted to take a break, but.

This is not the case, but the new patch has rendered some of their assets and by proxy the players who use them pointless, many members are taking a break

again war is impractical in the new patch, declaring victory with out actually winning just because your enemy is absent is like me declaring victory over winter now that its over. also I'm pretty sure the vaygr didn't actually get physically involved in the war, the patch came in before they became active.

Tartaran never joined the pact.

you really beat euro-corp there I can see why DFN are so victorious, cold war Russia didn't harm me does that mean I am victorious over them?



Anathos declared victory because 2 inactive enemies, one who was never their enemy and because Euro-Corp didn't harm you.

if you want to be taken seriously as a news source, and want people to care try staying legitimate and unbais, instead of feeding peoples egos. as for debris and nature these straw man arguments are only going to disenfranchise your allies. in time you will lose them because of it not everyone likes a pat on the back for a job not done it only serves to undermine your character.

how do you validate valid kills, the size or mass of the ships each side has destroyed, and actions that each side has taken. You will be the only person to validate such claim and try to be the official word of what really happened. Incap I know has the right idea...
