A few aesthetic suggestions

    This is a post about a couple aesthetic changes i had in mind

    1: The ability to change the colour of weapons
    Wouldn't it be cool to have red, or blue, or any colour antimatter cannons. They would behave the exact same way, just with more colour!
    When you're in the weapon tab of your ship where you can change the damage and range of your weapon, there will be a new section for colour. It will have a colour palette and/or slider.

    2: Cockpit UI
    Simple enough. When you get into a cockpit/ship core, a HUD or UI appears around the edge of the screen. Of course its not going to be interactive but it still will look cool. There will be an option for turning this on/off for people who don't like it.

    3: Holographic screens
    This is a block which you can place down. When you place it down it looks like a 2D opaque cyan screen. If you press the use key on it, you can change what its showing by using your mouse and the colour. Kinda like a mix between a sign from mine craft and MS Paint

    I'm not saying these are bad suggestions, just read up on the suggestions list before posting first ^.^

    Can we just use PlexGlass as screen(-enhancers)? :)
    The controller block would support 1 orientation + the opposite on a diagonal or vertical area?

    I'm not saying these these are bad suggestions (Except #1 I think that is already confirmed) but it would be best to write any aesthetic ideas down until later (MUCH later) in game development, because right now the dev (s?) are only working on purely functional things as the game is in alpha.

    I personally would love to see some decorative items on my ship, it looks so barren and empty. But suggestions like this are more likely to be noticed once the important (bugwise) stuff is added in.

    Signs, in the form of viewscreens were already suggested, first idea, as mentioned - is already in (I believe that players will be able to affect colour of weapon fire). As for #2, cockpits, I actually believe that you can make a decent thing here simply with a proper design.

    I seems far better to me as it rewards ingenuity, uses what's actually there instead of adding some cheap overlay and fits the ship it's used for instead of suggesting fighter cockpit graphic no matter if one is really flying some shuttle or is standing on a bridge of some multi-console, crew-filled cruiser.

    After filling a room with identical LOGIC activators, each with different uses I can now say just how important signs will be very very soon.

    We definitely need signs; I just wonder when Schema will finally implement them. It would be neat if he copied the Minecraft update that added signs and implemented sliding doors and ladders along with the signs.

    It would be neat, and in my (uneducated) opinion it shouldn't take too long either. Ladders are better than gravity wells anyway and they look better. (again in my uneducated opinion)
