I am in the proses of putting together a new StarMade servers, but before I make it available to the public I want to have a preexisting of infrastructure for players to play with.
To that end I am approaching you the StarMade community and asking for some assistance if you are willing to lend it.
In this server will be a number of factions already set up for players to join, however I need space stations and ships for these factions. Now this is a tall order for just one person, so I will be holding a contest of sorts.
The rules are relatively simple in fact there is only one. Any ship or station you build cannot have shields on them. The reason for this is that in this server shields are a very rare commodity and can only be acquired buy finding an ancient ship or station hidden throughout the galaxy.
Now if your ship or station is selected it will be incorporated into the server for the faction it was built for. Listed down below are the factions that will be in the server upon going public and a brief description.
North American Alliance
The North American Alliance or NAA is an alliance between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It was formed during the twenty first century during the third world war. The NAA was the first human power develop a faster than light drive. Within the galaxy the NAA has become a beacon of freedom, and an example of human determination and resourcefulness.
Soviet Confederation
The Soviet Confederation or SC is primarily made up of the nations that formed the old Soviet Union. It was formed during the third world war. Now amongst the stars the SC and NAA have entered into a friendly yet intense competition in every thing. The SC and NAA are the two primary protectors of human space and the SC fleet often makes its presence known near the border regions to remined people of this.
Eldar Empire
The Eldar Empire was formed over three thousand years ago. The Eldar are very much like humans fiscally with the exception of pointy ears, (this has led to humans calling them Elves, or Volcans) they also do not have the gen for red hair, and it is rare for a male Eldar to be under six feet tall.
The Eldar have a very unusual way of building ships. On their home world there is a special tipe of tree that the Eldar use to build their ships. The Eldar have seeded every one of their primary colony's with these trees and are very obsessed about those planets ecosystems
Deducticivs Empire
The Deducticivs Empire was formed about the same time as the Eldar empire and the two have never gotten along. The Deducticivs are a humanoid cat people and view them selves as gods or at lest demigods.
The Deducticvs are very conscientious about their honer and a very predatory species, it is best not to show fir when dealing with them.
The Horde
The Horde is a collection of sentient AI that have come together to form the Collective, however every one else calls them the Horde. This is impart do to their tactic of swarming their opponents in drones.
The Horde do not have any dealings with organics unless it is to use then as slave labor.
The Junkers
The Junkers are the galaxy's clean up crew. After any major space battle you can always find Junker ships swarming over the wreckage like vultures and then eagerly scamper off to sell their newly acquired goods.
Red Blade
The Red Blade is a pirate organization that has been spreading through the galaxy for the past few years. They take and refit any ship they can capture.
The Red Blade is well known for its ties to the slave trade. Often selling the surviving crew of ships they have captured.
These are just a few and there will be more added later, Good building to you.
