What do You think about long-range gravity?
Currently planet attract You only if You're close.

    What about realistic gravity?
I would like to start from planet like in Kerbale if You know what I mean.

Planet gravity is buggy. I'm sure that it will get fixed sometime soon. Randabout the time the the atmosphere finally gets fixed I suppose.

    1. Why can't people type "Kerbal" properly. The game is called Kerbal Space program, or KSP for short.
    2. Orbital mechanics aren't ingame. With what you're suggesting planets would act like black holes and flying around in space would really suck.

gravity acecllerates by 10m/s^2 ? Are your ship thrusters that weak?

Also you have a jump drive. Last update made it work even with only 0.001 (=0.1% mass), thus you can always get out!

Getting attracted by a planet while I'm 5 sectors away would be terrible.... Can you imagine ALWAYS being attracted by a planet while you're flying around? That's what the OP is suggesting.

    I agree on long range.
I would agree on realistic if planets would be already.

I haven't stylish on this computer (which spaces like and agree horizontally more out), changed it to like for above reasons.

More realistic gravity and eventually some atmosphere physics would also let players to make planes :P

On earth at sea level, not generally.

The range of gravity could be extended to 10 planet radii. At that range the gravity is 1% of surface gravity. Less than that would be countered by friction anyways.
