I'm an idiot... need help

Built my ship backwards. Got 5 hours into the build before I noticed. Just need to flip my core around real quick, any suggestions?

All I can suggest is either rebuilding it, or attempting to copy and paste it.

For future reference, that arrow at the top of the build mode points too the front of the ship.

I had this problem with the Siberia missile cruiser. I rebuilt it even better than the first time around. Notice inherent problems, then build it different!


Or use SMedit I guess.

I dont know if this would work but you could put up your symmetry planes and then use the new replace tool on what you already built and it should rebuild it on the other side facing forward. Then turn off you planes and delete the old backwards section. You can then copy and paste it on a new core to get the placement correct. Let me know if it works!

I thought Bobby fixed SMEdit? I got so confused following that topic in third party software. Didn't help when two more topics appeared.

You cant rotate copied objects.... well yet at least

I'm winding up having to remove and replace each individual block manually. The replace tool doesn't work with symmetry, at least not in the way I'm trying to use it.

here's a Screenshot of my work so far (un-rotated)... Does anyone recognize it?




I know the front end needs some work, but what do you think (as a 0.5 version)?

In the dev build it is now possible to copy paste AND rotate those sections (includes symmetry too), if your build mode size was big enough you could do it in 1 go.
