I've been away for a few months, and I have a few questions about the current state of things while I'm designing my ships.
1. Do fire-and-forget missiles (that is, the ones that auto-target enemies, not the ones that you manually lock onto) still target your allies/turrets/docked ships? I remember that the majority of them would be wasted, as they would immediately target the closest ship, ie, your own forward gun turrets.
2. Do missiles work with the new stop effect? I mean, the missiles have a really low rate-of-fire. If you hit someone with a stop effect, are they only briefly/instantaneously stopped, or does the effect linger after the initial hit? Basically, are missiles that freeze enemies in place viable, or do you need to use cannons/beams?
3. Can AI turrets target missiles without having a cannon onboard? It used to be that the AI would only fire a missile if the enemy was in range of an AMC. EDIT: I mean, can a turret fire a missile at another spaceship without having a cannon onboard the turret, not that the turret will fire at the missile.
Thank you in advance!
