Salvage Beams go straight to side

Hiya, I'm fairly new to the newer 0.15 and such versions of the game, if that should mean anything. I have been owrking on a giant mothership thingy but the only thing stopping me is that the salvage beams go directly to the side, so I can't shoot anything infront of me, AMC's work just fine, but not salvage. Is this a problem with my ship, or a bug?

Probably Your salvage computer is orientated to the side. To shoot straight, the computer also have to be orientated straight.

I did that, it is now facing straight but it doesn't fire at all now
