Fluids are fluids.

    Hm?

All fluids should flow and be cool etc. You can drown in them, you can pick 'em up with a liquid transporter (sucks in? Spits out?) place them in compressing tanks, or ordinarily in a glass cage.

Poison, which I've seen somehow, damages you slowly when in it.

Lava strongly hurts you and slowly, thickly moves about.

Water drowns you or feeds you fluids if food and drink is ever added.

Fuel such as oil, if fuel is added as oil, slowly, thickly moves about and drowns you. Hard to swim in.

Out of gravity, they move around like in space. This may be hard to do, and so if this gets planned, until done, they should be blocks like they are now.

In gravity, they DO NOT flow like Minecraft, but instead flow like Minecraft with the finite liquid mod, or you could say a 3D version of Terraria.

If this is truly impossible, I'd like to hear that from Schema himself.

Include oxygen and other gasses in that. I would love to see breathable and unbreathable atmospheres around my planets, and airlocks with a point.
    fluid pump logic?
This may be planned too :p

    EDIT: "helmet" agree

Well what if you have space helmet on? :D Or are you inferring this would happen without the helmet on?
Absolutely no drowning with a helmet. Of course, this is until the helmet actually stops you from dying in space. Now, it does nothing and you can't just die from being in space.

Don't click like on my post. Click agree or creative (no, wait what?) or whatever.

Only if you agree, so remove that disagree on my post.

    Oh? And why not?

Since you have no logic, I'll explain it to you -_-

I prefer people to click agree if they agree and like if they half-agree. And yet you randomly clicked disagree on that post, so I told you to remove it.

Ok, this argument about ratings is stupid. Can we get back on topic?

I believe flowing liquids is planned, with the current liquids being turned into "decorative liquids" in a force field bubble or something so they don't flow and destroy people's water windows/lava engines/etc.

The devs haven't talked about it in a while though. Maybe @Calbiri could shed some light?

I don't care if you prefer you getting agreed upon.

I had to vote disagree. Fluid simulation, even Minecraft-style block-level simulation, is computationally expensive. You'll end up with griefers drowning entire planets to overload a server to death.

If the game can handle 10x10x10 cubes being placed frequently with little to no lag, I'm sure it can handle a Minecraft or Minecraft Finite Liquid mod type fluid.

The same could be argued about being able to place 10x10x10 cubes times 8 using all symmetry planes, and it'd probably be much easier. Just buy or mine millions of plain rock and rapidly spamming with all 8 symmetry planes could accomplish the same thing, that is, lagging the entire server.

    Instead of Minecraft...
How about we talk about Dwarf Fortress fluid dynamics?
    THAT'S laggy.
    Minecraft fluids are not.

Wait, wait, before this stupid rant ends...

I don't mind getting disagreed, fool, it's when people click like instead of agree.

the fluid should be finite and they should be blocked by solid blocks and should be pulled by gravity

Invert gravity time! But yes, I would like flowing and non physical liquids that are influenced by gravity. They also should be able to be placed on ships. And lava should do damage. But if lava does damage, there should be a way for you to get more hp, by just waiting (regen over time), or by swimming in special water, drinking/eating, basically a way to get more hp.
