One year of NOT playing starmade, lets see what changed.
We now have Mod support. In the dev branch.
That was used so a 3rd party can attempt to balance the basic gameloop. In the dev branch.
Anything else? no? Ok moving on.
How does the current playerbase look like?
Well the playerbase did not get worse, still 8% of it exists since steam release.
It could populate 2-3 servers in theory, so multiplayer should rock.
In the end it looks like one server to choose from for me (sorry french, the language barrier is real)
Unless i play with insane ping or only with 1-2 other people.
OF COURSE I am sure just like the Weapons update (all of them), reactor update or planet update, the next update will fix everything.
All in all no reason to change my current honest steam review. speaking of review:
Currently sitting on mixed reviews on steam, now that is one way to attract new players.
So jhea cheers mates: see you all next year or at least after the fix all patch. coming to you Soon™
PS:
I can hear you all scream: BUT they told us on DISCORD.... AND Sean Murray sold you no man sky.
Just grow up, a mod who talked to the dev implied on the side, off the record, winking his left eye, you will get a pony..
but somehow never put it in the updates or the news channel, or the official forum... so assume there is no pony.
If it happens, good for you, but lets go on the basis that all guns have the same range and bullet damage after the "balance patch"
because, who needs balance when it gets changed in 12+ months anyway.. (just like last time)
Tldr: Nothing new all the same, lets hope for the next all fixing update.
