Hey all,
I've been scouring the web trying to find the solution to this issue. I thought I had the game running smoothly until I spawned 8 tiny ships at 2,2,2 to test their design, each with a tiny mass of 165. The battle can't have been bigger than 10 small ships with a few miners flying about the place.
Then my performance would just its self. I would go from 60fps to 1 every few seconds until the battle was over.
-----------------------------------
Here are my specs:
GTX 980ti
i7 6700K
32Gs RAM
ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Motherboard
Windows 7 Professional
-------------------------------------
Here's everything I've tried,
Reinstalling 64bit Java,
Allocating no more than half my available memory,
Shadows are already disabled, to my surprise,
Disabled firewall,
Hosting dedicated server, then connecting via localhost in game,
Reinstalling Starmade.
---------------------------------------
Surely I am not the only one with this issue? I can't believe how hard it is to find valid documentation on solutions to issues in this bloody game. I realise this game is in a terrible buggy state, but , how can they keep releasing new content when things are this bad?!
If anyone has anything to contribute to this issue, please let me know. I'd imagine there are plenty of Googler's looking for the same answer.
