For your first build this is really good! The use of ice crystals is superb, and your bridge design is absolutely awesome. The only thing I would really change is to smooth out the bottom of the prow, and make it more of a curve and less of "stair" design.

But yeah, really good! Keep it up dude!

@Zyrr That is actually the third front end. I cannot figure out what to do with it. If you look inside the hanger you will see why.

Little tip, it's easier for everyone if you make one post and edit it with "PS" info, EG the two posts above this could be one.

As to your front end comment, I dunno what you did with your destroyer but I've personally done a similar shape and I can verify it sucks. This is what I did: http://i.imgur.com/81ipkWZ.png Mebbe that would work for you? Dunno.

Is this seriously your first ship?
Yes, I would think everyone has a design process they go through i.e. proof of concept. Plus I'm sure you change it up as you go sometimes. But yes this is the first ship I have built. I built several reactor designs and proof of concept vehicles along the way but i would not call them actual designs.

very good for your first upload.

    some advise.
-a common trick in graphic design is to use no more than 3 colors in your designs. it helps make it more identifiable.
-use the lighten mode as a way to check the what areas need more color.
-avoid large flat surfaces, their boring to look at. something as simple as bumps on a surface can make it more interesting.
-never be afraid to look to other shipwrights for inspiration. a good way to look at this is [Your ideas+ Someones else's Ideas= Something new and unique]

Ok I am not a heavy user of Forums so my update skills are lacking. Here is the completed version of the ship. Let me know what you all think. I hope it makes it to the trailer and showcase.

Well done. The bridge reminds me of my old Venture Koi from Blockade Runner. (Really need to make them here as my old ships are nice)
