I want to activate and deactivate certain permissions in my faction ranks. How does it work?

I mean whenever I activate "invite players" for my 1st rank it doesn't save it when I reopen it. Is it saved and just not shown? Or is it not working at all?

Can I give and revoke the right to edit the homebase for a guy who has the permission rank to build on it? Example: 1st rank has no permission to edit homebase in the faction permissions manager, but the homebase's faction module is set to "1st rank" .

The editing of faction permissions is/has been bugged for a while. It does not save under certain conditions. Bug Tracker.

Lower the access Home Base permission to level 2. And give level 1 the right to edit the Home Base.

As things stand now i would only give access to a Home Base build block to very trusted friends! Because of the structure menu. "undock all, disable turret ai, etc"

If your running a large faction you should set up a base where there are two sets of facilities, one for your trusted members and yourself, and another for the rest. Easiest way to do this is lock the home base out to everyone except you and certain chosen persons you trust, then in the separate set of facilities, have them unlocked to the rest of the faction by use of faction permission modules. Do this for everything a faction member might need. This way, no none can do anything problematic to the home base while the rest of your people can still interact properly with the base.

    Like Nastral says.

Build the Center Part of the Home Base your self. This houses the Faction Module used to claim the Home Base and the System. You also place the main power to feed the defensive turrets and the turrets itself on this central arc. Do not forget the Factories.

The rest builds by docking a ship to this structure. It will look like a piece of the Base when finished. Make sure they have some thrust and power so you can re dock them should something weird happen. Also make sure the docker is always reachable should this occur.

It should not be hard to set permissions then. Beware not to cluster to many cores. Better to have a few big permanently docked structures then dozens. Else the sector becomes very “heavy” with all the other docked ships in place as well.

    Balance is key.

This game has issues. You have to think out of the box to solve some of them.
