Scanners on Stations

    Okay, being perfectly honest, I use docked scanners on my stations all the time. Not really bothered by it because they're home base stations, and I take the docker off the bar entirely for it, so its never going to actually undock inside the station.

    But, if getting around the "No scanners on stations" is that simple, why bother keeping the restriction at all?

    Just let us put scanners on our stations and be done with it.

    That really seems like something a station should be able to do. I wonder why it's set up so they can't? I haven't made a station yet. At least, not successfully lol

    This will probably become available with "command chairs" or whatever secondary-control scheme that Schine provides. Currently, since stations have no cores, there is no control center. "Command chairs" will correct that, giving stations a method of command and control.

    Because right now the only way you could use them is if you make them logic activateable.

    Or just have them "always on" like aux. As in, they just go off whenever they are charged.

    They don't want to do that because it would totally invalidate cloakers.

    You just run multiple scanners, use a delay chain to activate them in sequence, and no ship could ever be cloaked near you again.
