The main problem I would think that would come up from that would be trying to put detailing in those portions due to shootout rails being invisible. I will test it out however. (The ship also has no logic rooms, as I'm absolutely horrible at organizing)
just fyi: you can have the shootout raild "upside down and clipping through" the fighters, rails can "grab" any side of a docker after it's already docked. so inverted shootout rails clipping through the fighter itself should work dandy. you can even use an "upwards" docking rail off your floor ail to "raise" the fighter a bit off the deck as part of the launch animation.

A little update for those interested in seeing the fighters being launched by the automatic launch system. After doing some testing and the whole system going to hell using the fighters, the finished version using a queue system to prevent clogging of the launch bay.

Yea, GaeasSon's old ships spawn in slices on the current version of StarMade. They really need updating. It's so sad to see them falling apart.

Huzzah! That is an astounding effect!

SolitaryPoet Which of his older ships? I don't have the time at the moment to fire up starmade and get to hunting, but I'm guessing you mean mostly his Star Trek ships? (simply because that was the bulk of his work that I've been able to find)

Have you tried loading them in the first Chunk-32 version, and re-saving them in that version (which forcibly updates them) to make certain it isn't Chunk-16 vs Chunk-32 shenanigans?

No, I have not, but thank you for the advice. I will try that to see what happens. Also, the ships I had problems with were the Nova Class, Rhode Island refit and the NX-01 refit.
[EDIT] I can't even get the first Chink-32 to load on my computer for some reason, so that's not an option. I guess I'll putter around the web some more to see what I can find. So far it's not promising.

Sorry about the lack of updates! I do however, have a bunch of finished (And mostly finished) stuff to present!

First off, the main hanger is now finished (For the most part)!

The command center shown above allows individual control of both doors, the ability to start the automatic launch sequence, and shows if a bay is open or not, and the ability to manually tell the logic system that the bay is full. (All bays must be shown as full either by a ship or the activation module being pressed in order for the launch system to work properly)

Next up is the main bridge section! This area is almost completely finished, and the only incomplete section of it is the elevator! (And a tiny bit of detailing)

Next is a small "garden area" in the ship, which will allow the crew to have an area to relax during long journey's!

Lastly, work has been done on the exterior, with detailing done around the ship, and new turrets having started been added! I have also started work on the top hanger!

Not shown in any of the photos, I have also added a multi-directional elevator in the ship to allow travel between the floors!

That's it for today, and once again, sorry for the recent lack of updates!

After all this time, still one of the greatest ships in SM history, I hope you'll nail the Damocles, I remember being utterly astounded by that monstrosity at the time
