I have idea how to solve Build Block ecenomy issue!

    1. If placet-blocks get 1 hp or something like that they are easy to destroy.(If you mean NBT data is ok but not block hp)
    2. This game(at this time) is not gona be about money, is sandbox.In the future is gona be something like campain.
    3. Build bloks are in the game because farming money is hard an the salvage beam can do more blocks.Salvage beams are not early-game they are early-ish to mid-game-ish.
    4. Build blocks are expnsive.
    5. This problem, if it is a problem, cna be easly resold.Copy the files of the blocks naturaly generated,exept hull and glass and stuff like that,I mean ores,crystal .... , and make a change in the ID.Change it so is not avalible in store and when is placet by a player it changes ID.Or NBT that works too. Deny placement of the build block on those blocks that I said ( If is an extreme problem).The build block can not destroy the ID/NBT changes blocks value. Is not THAT easy but is not that Hard.

    Why let the few ruin it for the rest?

    I didn't even think of using a build block to take apart a station when I first started playing, and even though I know now that it can be done, I still don't do it.

    IMO the benefits of build blocks in constructing stations and other large structures far out-weigh the cons of the few who abuse it.

    Personally, I prefer using a salvage ship, because it feels more rewarding to use a massive ship you constructed (With a build-block type mode mind you), to demolish a planet or station in a few short seconds.

    Don't ruin the build block just because some abuse it, take care of the abusers instead.

    How do you propose we enforce that? Admins can't watch every player all the time. Look for mass block removal? I do that to fix large sections of structures or for terraforming.

    Many players have been and are currently interested in playing on balanced economy servers, not where everything is basically free. The current build block breaks that. The plan to have salvage beams extract ores from the planet core seems like the best solution, and makes the build block less of a profit mining tool.

    I must have missed that, sounds awesome. Would love to be have the planet's core be useful, rather than just a target.

    Once the game is more supporting of modding, then mods can be made to prevent such things as mass block removal via build blocks.

    If people are looking for that kind of server, that's fine and dandy. Just don't use the build block for mass block removal from planets and those that want it still get it. Those servers can have their own control over the block, while those that do want it, for legit reason, can have it. Doin't spoil it for the rest just because a few abuse it.

    As explained before, removing build blocks, stops players from build bases.
