Outcast Ships

Do the Outcasts actually have ships? Every ship I've come across of the Outcasts are tiny little things without any thrusters. Are all the Outcasts' ships like this, and if so, what is their purpose? Is there something I'm missing?

That seems like it's only the barrel part of a turret.

Those are the docked entities of various fleet vessels. There's a bug at the moment that fleeted ships when they enter/exit sectors drop some of their docked entities... its being fixed next update set at least afaik
