Turrets that were working when placed wont rotate on X axis after spawning bluprint.

    The issue is mostly explained in the title but just to be thorough, I made some turrets and attached them to my ship, and got into the ship core to ensure that they worked. All was fine, as they rotated left and right, as well as up and down, all ship core orientations are correct, both the base and gun are oriented so that down is facing the surface of the ship and forward is facing toward the target. I then decided to spawn a target for them to shoot at and noticed only a few turrets would turn left and right to aim at the target, and even then, they wouldn't turn all the way (no issue with elevation). I then went to work, vowing to investigate later, upon loading the save back up I now find that none of my various turrets can turn properly unless I un-dock them and re-dock them. My PD turrets can turn 90 degrees in one direction (the gun core can turn right, the base core can turn left) and my small anti-ship turrets cant turn left or right at all. Each turret has at least a block of empty space between their widest point and the nearest obstacle, and I have tried adding a pile of mass enhancers to the ship, though currently the heaviest turret only weighs 7.5 mass all together.

    Is this an AI problem, or do you also have the problem when you control the turrets manually?

    I already tested all that as of writing this post, sorry for not mentioning it, here's the .sment

    It's after loading a new bluprint or a world save the problem happens, the turrets rotate normally just after docking them, all manual control.

    Redock the turrets you have issues with, make sure they can rotate properly, then save it again as new blueprint.

    *Update, hitting *C* While in the turrets to center them seems to fix the issue until next load.

    If I redock a turret on your ship, it's fine and remains that way after restarting the game. Maybe it's a problem with your installation. If that's the case reinstalling the game in a different folder might help.

    I reinstalled on an entirely different hard drive and the issue persists.

    What's the version number of your installation? Just to make sure we use the same version.

    Creating a faction and spawning it that way seems to...affect the issue, some of the problem turrets will now turn sort of under AI control, at least initially, they will then stop turning and instead fire their guns at a 90 degree angle to hit the target...if the feel like it. A few of the turrets still dont turn at all, and by hitting C while in them, it seems that the bases might be spawing in with a slight axial tilt, causing them to be slightly no-clipped into the hull, preventing any sort of motion.

    Well, it seems I healed your ship. ;)
    But you should try to build a new ship a check if the problem resurfaces, just a few blocks with some five block turrets.
