I found a related post in the BugTracker: ⚓ T1931 unlinking/removing factory link with shop module causes crash
    http://phab.starma.de/T1931
But it took a bit to find and searching for my problem here on the stardock didn't yield me any results, so I thought I'd bring it to the forefront here.

I tried removing a shop module from my station while in a build block resulted in my client crashing. The module was not attached to anything (as far as i could tell) or anything attached to it. I had removed it from the galactic link option, disabled the pull and completely removed the cargo slaved to it.

After that crashed my client twice, I tried removing the block manually. This resulted in what I could tell as the whole server went down.

The server in question was the Aetherion server. I'm sorry for having done this and anything wrong that may have been caused by this effect. After the first crash I figured it was a client side issue and thought nothing of it because the server was still up and still had people on it. Only after manually trying to remove it did the server no longer appear on the server list. For me. I suppose it's possible it's still up and i just don't see.

At any rate, I'm still very sorry for this to have happened. I didn't find the bug tracker till after I looked more in-depth. I couldn't find any readable information quickly in the open. Maybe this is a well known bug and I'm just stupid and didn't spot it referenced anywhere.

I encountered this same issue about 4 days ago. I believe my shop was connected to cargo blocks that were already assigned to a storage block, or vise versa. I noticed latency problems shortly there after whilst trying to figure the thing out (settings/ UI/etc). I was also in a build block (I think there were 3 on my station at the time), My cliant locked up after a persistant 'connection failure' warning popped up. after the second time trying to delete the thing, the server went down completely - had to wait for the owner to get back days later to boot it up again. Today were trying to remove the thing, my first though is to wipe the sector from the galaxy, as there didn't seem to be issues for them before I logged back in and stood next to the shop block.
