When I Alt-Tab out of the game and then come back, in Windowed mode, Borderless Windowed, AND fullscreen, my FPS drops drastically (From ~120 FPS down to 7-15 FPS). It seems to have started recently. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

    System specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 750Ti (Slightly overclocked; performance increased before Alt-Tab but barely improved afterwards)
    CPU: Intel Skylake i5-6500
    RAM: 8GB DDR4
    OS: Windows 10 64-bit

For the record, I've tried all kinds of things. Disabled framebuffer, disabled VSync (Increases FPS significantly but doesn't fix the issue), changed antialiasing settings, disabled bloom, disabled/enabled multi-draw optimization, gone into the NVIDIA control panel and reset all my 3D settings, even completely deleted my settings.cfg and reset it several times. Nothing has fixed the issue.

I've noticed something curious, though. When I already have the issue and I tab back into the game, my FPS is higher for a moment, and then goes back to its 'normal' extremely low level.

Well apparently I also have this bug.
    Desktop specs:
    MB: Gigabyte: MSI Z87M-G43
CPU: Intel Core: i5-4570 (3.20 Ghz)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB
RAM: Kingston: HyperX blu (16GB 1600MHz.)
    HDD: Western Digital: WD10EZEX (1TB)
    OS: Windows 10

It doesnt seem to be completely consistent, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it even fixers itself

I've had dropping FPS rates in general since the last update. The game runs fine for a while at 60 FPS (vsync enabled) but slowly slows down until I'm getting 1 - 2 FPS. Restarting the game restores it to full FPS, for a little bit. The timing is random, I've played for a couple hours before it got unplayable and I've had it happen in minutes.

My system is an i5 2500k @ 4.3 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, Crucial 750GB SSD over SATA III, and a GeForce GTX 960 2GB VRAM running at 1080p. Windows 10 running 64-bit Java. All detail levels generally maxed out, but block/chunk distance or whatever is at the default and I have anti-aliasing disabled.

    I think... this is a Windows 10 bug. D:
Everyone who's posted here has Nvidia, might be an issue with recent drivers, Geforce Experiance says I'm upto date.

I'm running 10 insider preivews, currently on build 14936.rs_prerelease.160923_1700 if it's anyhelp to anybody.

Jake has AMD; he still has it.

Anyway, I brought it up on the tester Slack, people just said "this is a common problem with all games; try tabbing to the desktop instead of directly to another window"

    :\

Sounds to me like the GPU drivers are resetting to low-performance based on the window you tab into, and failing to switch back to hardware 3D when you tab back in. Try going into the program control part of your GPU config, and changing starmade and java from "auto/default" to specific values.
    Hope it helps.

    I think... this is a Windows 10 bug. D:
I was having the same issue, im out of town where i dont have wifi and ive been using my phones hot spot, well it picked up the most recent windows 10 update and downloaded it...

Ever since then ive had trouble, like you said 15 fps. I just reverted back to the last version and can confirm that it was windows 10.

Game runs fine now and i may take the day off.

    Edit: my specs
    i7 4700
    Gtx 860m
    8 gigs ram
